Friday 24th February, 2023 – Sunday 26th February, 2023

With the blessings of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, the Dioceses of Sydney and Melbourne held their annual combined youth conference, organised through their youth committees, Sydney Youth Committee (SYC) and Youth in Christ (YIC), respectively.

Held at The Collaroy Centre on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, over 380 youth from across Australia, North America and Europe participated in the conference.

The 2023 theme was “The Overcomer”, with the motto: “In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul”  (Psalm 94:19).

Archbishop Angaelos was joined by His Eminence Metropolitan Thomas of the Diocese of Al-Qusiiyah and Miir, Egypt, and Anaphora Retreat Centre as the two international guest speakers, who delivered a series of six lectures, providing wisdom on how the youth may overcome obstacles they may face in life.
